As a mom to 3 cats and 3 dogs I've got to say I'm really team cat. Had I rescued a cat first even, I may not have ever gotten a dog (pfffftttt yea right you guys know how much I love animals). Besides the obvious reasons of not needing an insane amount of exercise / mental stimulation like most dogs do and being able to do their business on their own, here are 5 reasons why I think cats make amazing pets:
